What’s Usually Not Covered in Plumbing Claims

To keep expectations clear, here are common situations that can fall outside standard coverage:

• Known pre-existing conditions (problems you were aware of before coverage started) are typically not covered.

• Unknown, undetectable pre-existing conditions may be covered if they were not detectable through visual inspection or routine maintenance and only became apparent after coverage began (example given: a hidden plumbing leak).

• Main water line, sewer line, septic, sump and grinder pumps are not part of the core plumbing line items and require the listed upgrades for extra limits.
