What’s usually not covered in plumbing claims

To keep expectations clear, here are common situations that can fall outside standard coverage:

• Known pre-existing conditions (problems you were aware of before coverage started) are typically not covered.

• Unknown, undetectable pre-existing conditions may be covered if they weren’t detectable through visual inspection or routine maintenance and only became apparent after coverage began (HomeMembership gives a hidden plumbing leak as an example).

• Main water line, sewer line, septic, sump and grinder pumps aren’t part of the core plumbing line-items and require the listed upgrades for extra limits.
